Requesting Courses Without Teacher Recommendations
Teachers examine multiple data points in order to help students make informed choices about course selections, and to help ensure that each student is taking the courses best suited for their ability. When a student and family chooses to take a course other than one that has been recommended by the teacher, it is important to discuss the pros and cons of the change and the demands of the course with a teacher or department chair. Questions about recommendations should be directed towards the student's current teacher.
In order to make a change in Course Request, fill out and return a Course Placement Change Request to your counselor. This form must be turned in along with the student's Course Selection Sheet.
